The starch degrades under the circumstances of moulds or bacteria, which weakens the structure of the polymer. As the interaction of the photo-sensitizer and the peroxide produced in the process of natural oxidation, the plastic molecular chain breaks and the molecular weight lessened. Finally it degrades into matters that do no harm to the environment.
